Run to the ROCK!

We live in an unsettling time. Our lives are pulled to and from. Our world is in constant chaos and turmoil. We take a close look at our lives and the lives of our close family members and we see the problems and hurts that they are struggling through—makes us wonder how we can make it another day.

It’s great to know we have a God who is right there with us through it all. Consider the words of Isaiah and how they can be plugged into your life in the midst of the troubles: “You will guard him and keep him in perfect and constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, and hopes confidently in You. So trust in the Lord (commit yourself to Him, lean on Him, hope confidently in Him) forever; for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock [the Rock of Ages]” (Isaiah 26:3-4 AMP).

From these verses, we find that God is with us, no matter how difficult the troubles may be. He gives us peace when the human mind can’t even comprehend peace in the current state of affairs. We simply need to commit ourselves and our ways to God and He will be there to go with us through whatever it may be. He doesn’t promise to keep us from the chaos—He promises to be with us through it. He gives us His hope through it all.

Nothing a child of God goes through is too difficult for our God to carry us through. Jesus told His disciples: “What is impossible with men is possible with God” (Luke 18:27). Isaiah 54:17 assures us that no weapon formed against us shall be able to prosper. Isaiah 40:31 tells to that when we wait upon the Lord He renews our strength. And the Psalmist assured us is Psalm 118:6 that with the Lord on our side we have nothing to fear from men.

Focus on the Lord today instead of your problems. Put your trust and faith in Him. Trust in His capability when you lack the ability. He is the Rock that will never be moved and He is there just for you. Run to the Rock today!
